Terms of Service

1. Service Description

Penlyne ("the Service") is a Chrome browser extension that uses artificial intelligence to help users generate content for LinkedIn, including posts, comments, and direct messages. The Service is provided by Penlyne ("we," "us," or "our").

2. Acceptance of Terms

By installing, accessing, or using Penlyne, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service. We may modify these terms at any time, and continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.

3. Account and Subscription

• Free plan: Available to all users with limited daily generations. No account required.
• Pro plan: $19 per month, billed monthly through Stripe. Cancel anytime from your Stripe billing portal. Access continues through the end of the billing period.
• Refunds: We offer a full refund within 7 days of your initial Pro purchase. Contact support@penlyne.com to request a refund.
• Price changes: We reserve the right to adjust pricing with 30 days' notice. Existing subscribers will be notified by email.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use Penlyne responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws and platform terms. Specifically, you agree not to:

• Use the Service to generate spam, misleading content, or content that violates LinkedIn's Terms of Service or Community Guidelines
• Automate LinkedIn interactions in ways that violate LinkedIn's policies (Penlyne generates content for you to review and post manually)
• Generate content that is illegal, harassing, defamatory, or infringes on intellectual property rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract the source code of the Service
• Share, resell, or redistribute your license key to third parties
• Use the Service to impersonate another person or entity

5. Content Ownership

Content generated by Penlyne is provided to you for your personal or professional use. You own the content you create using the Service and are solely responsible for its accuracy, legality, and appropriateness. We make no claim of ownership over generated content.

6. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. The Service depends on third-party infrastructure (including Anthropic's API and Chrome Web Store) that may experience downtime. We are not liable for service interruptions caused by factors outside our control.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Penlyne and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

• Your use of or inability to use the Service
• Any content generated by the Service
• Unauthorized access to or alteration of your data
• Any third-party conduct related to the Service

Our total liability for any claims arising from the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that AI-generated content will be accurate, appropriate, or free of errors.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms. You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. Upon termination, your license key will be invalidated and your subscription will not be renewed.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
